Saturday’s count of new COVID-19 positive cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency is 322 and 16 deaths.
The new to-date totals in cases for Orange County is 39,076; the new count for deaths is 720. The test-positivity figure is at 8.3 percent, an increase from 8 percent on Friday. That number indicates what portion of those tested for the virus are tested “positive” for the infection regardless of whether they have symptoms. Eight percent is the threshold.
Here’s a list of the OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.
- Santa Ana: 7,496 (192).
- Anaheim: 6,682 (171).
- Garden Grove: 2,094 (28).
- Orange: 1,793 (26).
- Huntington Beach: 1,753 (51).
Westminster has 704 cases and 19 deaths; Stanton has 480 cases and seven deaths.
The total number of U.S. cases – according to Johns Hopkins University – is approaching 5 million. Saturday’s tally is at 4,997,705. American deaths are reported to be 162,422.
