Garden Grove and Stanton each held city council meetings on Tuesday night, with these results:
Garden Grove: The council voted 7-0 in favor of the introduction of an ordinance changing the zoning of property at 8932 Katella Ave. from office-professional to neighborhood commercial.
Also on Tuesday the council heard a presentation from the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District. Additionally, the council approved appropriation of $22,950 in grant funds for coronavirus relief under the CARES Act.
Stanton: The appropriation of up to $95,848 to demolish a building at 8931 Pacific Avenue, said to be in “severe disrepair” was approved 5-0 by the city council. The council also gave second and final approval to an ordinance increasing the density range to 90 dwelling units per acre in the South Gateway zone, as well as to a development agreement with Bonanni Development for the development of property located at 12331-12435 Beach Blvd.
