OC COVID cases and deaths rise

New coronavirus cases in Orange County spiked again in Wednesday’s tally by the Orange County Health Care Agency. New COVID-19 infections are at 213, up from 178 on Tuesday and 117 on Monday.

Nineteen deaths were also reported, compared to zero deaths on Tuesday and Monday. There are 165 cases hospitalized with coronavirus in the OC, with 60 in intensive care. Tuesday’s hospital count was 160, with 57 in intensive care units.

Here is the list of the Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 10,789 (298)
  • Anaheim: 2,605 (294)
  • Garden Grove: 3,107 (93)
  • Orange: 2,589 (68)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,490 (78).

Westminster has 1,097 cases and 30 deaths; Stanton has 692 deaths and 15 deaths.
