OC cases and deaths decline

The number of new coronavirus cases and deaths in Orange County dropped in Friday’s report from the county health agency.

According to the OCHA, the number of new COVID-19 cases was 151, a decline from Thursday’s figure of 153. Deaths dropped from 31 on Thursday to 10 in Friday’s tally.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus in Orange County was at 170 (up from 164 on Thursday). Those in intensive care are counted as 66, the same as on Thursday).

Here is the list of the Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.

  • Santa Ana: 10,878 (303)
  • Anaheim: 9,670 (304)
  • Garden Grove: 3,115 (98)
  • Orange: 2,605 (68)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,493 (81).

Westminster had 1,101 cases and 30 deaths; Stanton has 697 cases and 17 deaths.
