New cases rise, but zero deaths

New COVID-19 cases in Orange County are up, but deaths down in Sunday’s report of coronavirus statistics provided by the county heath care agency.

According to the report, there were 196 cases in Sunday’s tally, compared to 85 on Saturday. But there were no deaths Sunday, while eight in Saturday’s report.

The number of people hospitalized with the virus went from 159 on Saturday to 162 on Sunday. Those in intensive care units went from 56 on Saturday to 59 on Sunday.

Here is the list of Orange County cities with the most cases. Deaths are in:

  • Santa Ana: 10,940 (303)
  • Anaheim: 9,734 (308)
  • Garden Grove: 3,121 (99)
  • Orange: 2,620 (68)
  • Huntington Beach: 2,469 (82).

Westminster has 1,108 cases and 30 deaths. Stanton has 702 cases and 17 deaths.
