TERI ROCCO Age: 69.  Retired Teacher/Administrator

Current Governing Board Member Trustee Area 1, Garden Grove Unified School District

Garden Grove Unified School District, Governing Board Member Trustee Area 1

I’ve served 6 years on the GGUSD Board Of Education. I’m “Homegrown,” a longtime resident of Garden Grove, and a product of GGUSD from K-12, as were my children and currently, my grandchildren.

TERI ROCCO

As a retired GGUSD teacher and administrator, I have 42 years of classroom and leadership experience. I understand our district’s diversity and the needs of each community, school, teacher, parent and student. I tackle problems with an open mind and I’m willing to seek multiple points of view to resolve problems.

My top priorities are 1) ensuring we provide a quality education to all students, guided by GGUSD’s vision, mission and goals 2) carefully and safely reopening our schools in tiers based on objective criteria with an online learning option 3) ensuring safe and welcoming schools that actively address bias, bullying and racism 4) reducing the stigma of mental health, providing education, resources and treatment

The success of our reopening plan, safety of our students and staff, while we maintain the high level of education that GGUSD is known for and the economic stability of our district will require knowledge, skills, experience and leadership.

I humbly ask for your consideration and vote on November 3. www.terirocco.com .
