The statistics on new coronavirus cases, deaths, hospitalizations and use of intensive care units continue at near-record highs, according to Friday’s report on the pandemic by the Orange County Health Care Agency.
Today’s tally of new cases hit 3,544, up from 2,701 on Thursday. Deaths hit 26, a drop from Thursday’s 29, but up from Wednesday’s 17. Hospitalizations hit 2,259, compared to 2,251 the day before.
Patients suffering from COVID-19 being treated in ICUs rose to 514, up from 502.

- Santa Ana: 33,525 (388)
- Anaheim: 30,631 (421)
- Garden Grove: 11,465 (138)
- Orange: 8,641 (98)
- Fullerton: 8,074 (137)
- Huntington Beach: 7,283 (110)
Westminster has had 4,941 cases and 54 deaths. Stanton has had 2,312 cases and 25 deaths.
