FIREFIGHTERS from the Orange County Fire Authority battle a blaze at a home in the 8600 block of MacAlpine in Garden Grove Sunday morning (OCFA image).

The cause of a fire that damaged a house in Garden Grove Sunday morning is under investigation.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority ­– which provides fire and paramedic service to Garden Grove – the blaze was reported at around 8:40 a.m. in the 8600 block of MacAlpine Road.

That’s between Dale Street and McDuff Street, in a tract north of Chapman Avenue.

As crews arrived one house was beginning to ignite. The firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before they could spread to adjacent houses.

There were no reported injuries.
