More mixed results on COVID-19

SUNDAY’S figures on the coronavirus showed mixed results in Orange County (Shutterstock).

Sunday was another day of mixed results on the coronavirus with only small changes from Saturday’s report from the Orange County Health Care Agency.

According to the county health agency, new cases and deaths rose, while hospitalizations due to the virus and patients being treated in intensive care units showed declines.

New cases went from 1,279 on Saturday to 1,355 on Sunday. Deaths went from 43 to 44. Hospitalizations went from 1,442 to 1,412. Patients treated in ICUs dropped from 394 to 392.

Cumulative cases are at 232,391, of which 175,513 are considered recovered. The death total is at 3,062.

  • Santa Ana: 42,033 (536)
  • Anaheim: 38,779 (581)
  • Garden Grove: 15,091 (229)
  • Orange: 10,920 (152)
  • Fullerton: 10,361 (201)
  • Huntington Beach: 9,479 (150)

Westminster has had 6,430 cases and 116 deaths. Stanton has had 2,901 cases and 40 deaths.
