An agreement to provide testing for COVID-19 for students and staff was approved by the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education Tuesday night.

The deal is with the State of California, which will provide sample collection kits, and shipping materials for a reduced price. The district will provide the facilities, staff and logistics to collect, pack and transport the samples to Valencia Regional Laboratory, which will process the samples and get results to the district and staff.

The GGUSD serves most of Garden Grove and portions of Anaheim, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
