Quick work made of house fire

A FIRE at this Johannah Avenue home in south Garden Grove was quickly knocked down by firefighters Tuesday morning (OCFA photo).

A fire at a two-story home in southern Garden Grove was quickly knocked down Tuesday morning by firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority.

According to the OCFA – which provides fire and paramedic service to Garden Grove – a force of 35 launched “an aggressive interior attack” on the blaze at the home on Johannah Avenue. That’s northwest of Hazard Avenue and Brookhurst Street.

The fire was extinguished in less than 25 minutes and there were no injuries. The Red Cross was called to assist persons displaced by the blaze. The cause of the fire is being investigated. OCFA fire crews were assisted by a unit from the Fountain Valley Fire Department.
