Ever said to yourself, if I had a buck for every time …. something … I’d have a million dollars?

Well, we at The Orange County Tribune aren’t that rich yet, but we do have a million of something. On Wednesday evening, our website – www.orangecountytribune.com – passed one million clicks, or views. As we’re writing this on Thursday, the exact number of views is 1,001,216. The number of visits is at 667, 438.

The Trib launched as a daily news-site in August 2016, and now covers the cities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster. We report on what’s going on at your local city council and school board, arts and theater and on public safety issues such as crime, fire and the environment.

If you only visit our site from time to time, you may be missing some of our regular features. The week begins with the Sports Monday column, featuring an interesting take on area athletics, along with an update on how all the major area sports teams are doing.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are typically when we offer same-day coverage of local city councils. Wednesday and Thursday we have Jim Tortolano’s “Retorts” column, alternating with Usually Reliable Sources, offering insight into local issues.

On Friday – when the entertainment industry makes its comeback (soon, we hope) – we’ll have our Weekend feature, outlining the interesting things to do and see Friday through Sunday.

During the high school sports seasons we provide stories and photos about the best in prep athletics in our coverage area. On alternate Sundays we have Andrea Palladino’s popular “Am’s View” column.

Each day and week, we offer the best – and in some cases, the only – non-partisan news, arts, opinion and sports coverage around.

That’s why we made it to one million. We thank you for getting us this far, and hope you will be with us for the next million.
