GARDEN GROVE police turned a vehicle stop into the seizure of drugs, cash weapons and the arrest of four suspects (GGPD photo).
The Gang Suppression Unit of the Garden Grove Police Department had a big score over the weekend that resulted in four arrests, the seizure of $25,000 in cash and the confiscation of a big cache of drugs and weapons, including two “ghost guns.”
According to the GGPD, detectives developed leads that led to a vehicle stop. Three pounds of marijuana were spotted in plain sight along with $20,000 in cash. Both were seized.
A search warrant was obtained and served with the help of patrol officers and the GGPD’s K-9 unit. The search resulted in the discovery and seizure of another $5,000 in cash, various pills, six more pounds of marijuana and two guns – along with over 500 rounds of ammunition – for which registration numbers had been removed.
The suspects were booked into Orange County Jail in Santa Ana.
