
SATURDAY’S numbers on the coronavirus cases in Orange County continuing to show an encouraging trend, but don’t take that mask off yet (Shutterstock).
Saturday’s coronavirus numbers continued to be encouraging, as three of four metrics for Orange County showed declines and the other held steady.
According to the county health care agency, confirmed new cases are at 172, the same as for Friday. Deaths declined from 29 to 26 and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 went from 245 to 237. Cases in intensive care units decreased from 74 to 71.
The to-date count of coronavirus cases is at 248,561, of which 238,961 are considered recovered. The death toll is at 4,434.

Westminster has had 7,024 cases and 175 deaths. Stanton has had 3,137 cases and 61 deaths.
