Statistics on the coronavirus in Orange County continued to wobble a bit in Monday’s report, but the general downward trend continued.
The number of new cases reported by the county health agency rose to 169 on Monday. That’s up from Sunday’s 151, but still below Saturday’s 172.
Deaths declined to 21 from 31 and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 fell from 241 to 233. The use of intensive care units to care for coronavirus patients went to 72 from 76.
The cumulative Orange County count of coronavirus cases is now at 248,801. Of that number, 239,472 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,486.

Westminster has had 7,027 cases and 178 deaths. Stanton has had 3,141 cases and 62 deaths.
