COVID-19 deaths have fallen to 1

Confirmed new cases and deaths related to the coronavirus in Orange County dropped sharply in Monday’s report.

According to the county health agency, the number of new cases declined from 113 on Sunday to 102 on Monday. Deaths fell from 45 to 1.

Hospitalizations from COVID-19 infections rose from 187 to 195 and the treatment of coronavirus patients in intensive care units increased from 43 to 50.

The to-date total of cases in Orange County is at 249,641, and 241,271 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,608.

  • Irvine: 10,316 (80)

Westminster has had 7,050 cases and 185 deaths. Stanton has had 3,145 cases and 63 deaths.
