New case count is below 100

STATS on coronavirus in Orange County continued down on Wednesday (Pexels/Cottonbor).

The number of confirmed new coronavirus cases in Orange County fell below 100 on Wednesday for the first time in months.

According to the county health care agency, 82 new cases were reported today, down from 119 the day before. Deaths dropped from 27 to 11 and hospitalizations declined from 186 to 172.

Patients being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care units decreased from 40 to 36.

The to-date total of case for the county is now at 249,842, of which 241,709 are considered recovered. Deaths are at 4,646.

  • Anaheim: 41,378 (815)
  • Garden Grove: 16,386 (361)
  • Orange: 11,712 (237)
  • Fullerton: 11,184 (283)
  • Huntington Beach: 10,467 (205)
  • Irvine: 10,327 (80)

Westminster has had 7,057 cases and 187 deaths. Stanton has had 3,145 cases and 64 deaths.
