Numbers tracking the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in Orange County continue to trend generally down in Saturday’s report from the county health care agency.

According to the OCHCA, the number of confirmed new cases rose from 30 on Friday to 47 on Saturday. However, the other three major metrics showed downward movement.

Deaths fell from eight to five and hospitalizations declined from 93 to 90. Patients being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care units ticks down from 23 to 22.

The to-date number of cases in OC is at 254,278, of which 247,125 are judged recovered. Deaths are at 5,005.
