A case of armed robbery that began on June 5 in Garden Grove came to a conclusion Friday when police raided the home of a man arrested in the robbery and found a cache of firearms, some illegal.

ROBBERY SUSPECTS David Linde and Francisco Sandoval

According to the GGPD, it all started a week ago when two men drove a car up to a couple riding their bicycles on Chapman Avenue. The suspects used their vehicle to block the path of the victims. One of the men came out of his car with a semi-automatic pistol and the other with a metal baseball bat.

They took the woman’s bicycle, bag pack and cell phone.

The GGPD’s Community Impact Unit followed up and identified the suspects as David Linde and Francisco Sandoval. They were located, arrested and booked into Orange County Jail.

On Friday, CIU officers served a search warrant on Sandoval’s home. They found and seized six firearms, additional firearm parts and five receivers (potentially classified as machine guns).
