AN ARMED ROBBERY in Westminster netted up to $4,000 (Shutterstock).

The armed robbery of a café in Westminster netted the thieves a large amount of cash.

According to the WPD the incident was on Tuesday, July 13 at around 4:52 p.m. in the DSD Herbs on Bolsa Avenue. The victim reported that two suspects entered the café, “waving around a handgun” and ordered patrons to stay still and “give up everything they had.”

The total loss is estimated to be $3000 to $4000. The case is under investigation.

Jewelry burglary at JC Penney

A jewelry “heist” has been reported at the JC Penney department store in Westminster Mall.

The WPD reports that the incident took place on Friday, July 2. The suspect may had hid inside the store as employees left for the day. The jewelry cabinet was cut into and an unknown amount of jewelry taken.
