A COLLISION between an OCTA bus and a sedan in Santa Ana took the life of the driver of the car (Shutterstock).

A collision between an Orange County Transportation Authority bus and an automobile Wednesday in Santa Ana resulted in the death of the driver of the car.

According to the SAPD, the incident took place around 8:35 a.m. at the intersection of 17th Street and Harbor Boulevard.  Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded and treated the driver of the sedan before pronouncing him dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation says the bus was traveling north on Harbor Boulevard, approaching 17th Street. The sedan was also moving north on Harbor, and when the bus pulled over at a bus stop, it was struck by the car.
