
WESTMINSTER are looking for a Jeep that may have been involved in a fatal hit and run (Shutterstock).
Westminster police are seeking the public’s help in finding a vehicle believed to be involved in a possible fatal hit and run traffic collision early Monday morning.
According to Commander Kevin McCormack of the WPD, detectives are looking for an older model gray or black Jeep Grand Cherokee with custom chrome wheels and a roof rack. The driver’s side headlight housing was recovered at the scene of the accident. There could be extensive damage to the front and rear passenger side and a broken taillight.
The crash occurred at around 5:20 a.m. in the 6500 block of Walt Street, southeast of Westminster Boulevard and Edwards Street. Arriving officers found a dead man in the driveway of a home. The vehicle that struck him left the area, and detectives believe the man had been intentionally struck.
Identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
