Two area high school baseball teams won CIF-SS quarterfinal games on Friday and advanced to the semifinal round next week.

In Division 1 action, Huntington Beach defeated Foothill 12-5 as Raffaele Velazquez hit a three-run home run and finished with five RBIs. The Oilers (22-8) will host Notre Dame (23-7-1) of Sherman Oaks on Tuesday.

In Division 7, Santiago (17-10) beat Wiseburn-DaVinci of El Segundo 9-3 and now will play Hueneme (16-9) of Oxnard on Tuesday.

Division 2 action saw Pacifica finish an otherwise successful season by losing 10-0 to Etiwanda. The Mariners conclude the season with a 21-9 record after finishing in second place in the tough Empire League.
