A SUSPECT was arrested Thursday for the fatal stabbing of another homeless man in Anaheim

A suspect has been arrested in the death of a homeless Anaheim man.

According to APD, homicide detectives have taken in Rolando Echenique, 36, for the stabbing murder of Jason Randall Dahl, 53.

Dahl’s body was found Wednesday morning in a field in the area of Phoenix Club Drive and Sanderson Avenue in Anaheim. He had sustained at least one stab wound.

On Thursday detectives located Echenique near the crime scene and made the arrest. He was booked into the Anaheim Detention Facility for murder and is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

The suspect, like the victim, is homeless. Detectives have declined to discuss possible motives or how the two men might have known each other.
