A reward of $100,000 was offered on Wednesday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the masked gunman who killed two people and wounded three others at 7-11 convenience stores in Orange, Riverside and Los Angeles counties.

The reward was announced by the 7-11 chain.

Both fatalities were in Orange County. Matthew Rule, 34, of Santa Ana, was killed at a Santa Ana store on Monday. Matthew Hirsch, 40, a clerk, was shot and killed at the Brea store.

A customer at a Riverside store suffered a gunshot wound to the head and is considered “gravely” injured.

Authorities have released video images from store security cameras in Brea (above) and Upland. They show a masked man with a black sweatshirt with a hood pulled over the top of his head. The sweatshirt is decorated on the chest with white lettering and green “leaves.”
