THERE ARE SURF competitions for men and women at the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach (WSL photo).

The Vans US Open of Surfing 2022 is coming to  – where else? – Huntington Beach starting on Saturday and running through Sunday, Aug. 7 on the beaches and ocean south of the iconic pier of “Surf City.”

Featured will be competitions in surfing, skateboarding, BMX dirt bike riding and more. There will be vendors selling apparel and other goods, clinics and more.

Surfing competitions will be organized and judged by the World Surfing League.
