Steve Jones will be running unopposed for another term as Garden Grove’s mayor.

According to the city clerk’s office, Jones was the sole person filing nomination papers by Friday’s deadline. He was elected first in 2016 and re-elected in 2018 and 2020.

In council district races, here are the nominees:

• District 1: George Brietigam (incumbent), Allen Rodriguez.

• District 3: Asia Nguyen Cunningham, James Webb, Laurie Merrick.

• District 4: Duy Nguyen, Joe Dovinh, Trung Van Ta.

The general election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
