New cases show increase

CORONAVIRUS numbers in Orange County in this week’s report showed an increase in new cases (Shutterstock).

The latest count of new coronavirus cases in Orange County for the period of Nov. 23 to Nov. 30 – updated on Thursday – showed 3,690 for the week.

Deaths during that period were six, with 299 people hospitalized and 38 being treated for COVID-19 in intensive care units.

For comparison, on Nov. 18 the Orange County Health Care Agency reported 1,602 new cases for that week, six deaths, 143 hospitalizations and 22 people in ICUs.

To date, according to the OCHCA the county has had 682,885 cases and 7,577 deaths.
