Backing for invasion falls

SUPPORT in Russia for its invasion of Ukraine is reportedly falling (Wikipedia).

Support in Russia for the invasion of Ukraine is “falling significantly” according to United Press International.

The British Ministry of Defense issued a statement on Sunday citing an internal Russian poll showing 55 percent of those polled favored peace talks with Ukraine, with 25 percent expressing support for what the government called a “special military operation.”

That’s a stark decline from an April 2022 poll in which backing for the war had 80 percent support of Russians.

After some early successes, the invaders have suffered heavy casualties and been forced back with the help of American and other supporting nations’ high-tech weaponry.
