A fire in an abandoned building in the 13500 block of Harbor Boulevard in Garden Grove led to that major thoroughfare being closed late Sunday night.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the fire was reported at 11:49 p.m. Arriving OCFA crews found a “well-involved” blaze and initiated a defensive attack on the fire.

Large hose streams including aerial ladders were used to fight the fire from the outside. Firefighters also protected adjacent structures including a gas station.

Fire investigators responded to the scene and the cause of the fire has not been determined. Garden Grove police closed Harbor between Trask Avenue and Cardinal Circle.
