ONE PERSON was killed and two injured in a one-car crash early Sunday morning in Huntington Beach (Shutterstock).

A 22-year-old Huntington Beach man died early Sunday morning in Huntington Beach after a single-vehicle crash.

According to Jessica Cuchilla, public information officer for the HBPD, the incident was reported around 2:30 a.m. on Main Street north of 14th Street.

Arriving officers found the driver of the gray 2014 Ford Focus to be deceased at the scene. Two passengers were taken to a local hospital; their condition is not known.

Based on the initial investigation, the vehicle was “traveling southbound on Main Street at a high rate of speed just prior to the collision.”
