A little over a year since a pizza delivery driver was fatally shot in Stanton, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department have arrested three suspects.
The original incident took place on the evening of June 26, 2022 in the 7000 block of Lessue Avenue, southwest of Orangewood Avenue and Beach Boulevard.
Deputies dispatched to that location found two men in the street with gunshot wounds. One man – Juan Cristalinas, 49, of Santa Ana – was hospitalized, then died from his wounds. The other, a 76-year-old man, was treated for non-life threatening wounds.
Upon investigation, it was determined that Cristalinas had come to the aid of the elderly man, who was being attacked by several young men.
Nearly a dozen law enforcement agencies combined their efforts and three suspects were identified and arrest warrants were served at three places in Orange County.
Arrested Thursday were:
- Henry Diep Le, 19, of Garden Grove
- Adrian Castaneda, 19, of Anaheim
- Damian Ivan Mayorga, 18, of Anaheim.
The investigation continues and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call OC Sheriff Homicide at (714) 647-7000.
