Ukrainian defense minister Oleskii Reznikov will be replaced by President Volodymyr.

The New York Times is reporting the change, which is expected to be approved by that nation’s parliament. His replacement is expected to be Rustem Umerov, chair of Ukraine’s State Property Fund.

In making the announcement, Zelensky said that Reznikov “has gone through more than 550 days of full-scale war” and it was time for “new approaches and other formats of interaction with both the military and society at large.”

Ukraine is in the midst of a counter-offensive against Russian invaders, making gains in the south and east.
