A 76-year-old Australian man is in critical condition after a three-vehicle collision in Westminster Monday afternoon.
According to Commander Kevin McCormick of the WPD, the incident took place in the area of Bolsa Avenue and Bushard Street.
Officers were dispatched at 12:25 p.m. and upon arrival found the three automobiles in the northbound left lane of Bushard. A passenger in one of the vehicles, a resident of Bonnyrigg, New South Wales, was found “unresponsive” in the vehicle.
Paramedics from the Orange County Fire Authority responded and conducted life-saving measures while transporting him to UCI Medical Center in Orange.
Two people from the other vehicles reported non-life threatening injuries that did not require medical attention.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to have played a role in causing the accident.
