Residents in an apartment complex in Midway City reported a “possible fire” Sunday night, and sure enough, they were right.
Responding to the call at 10:09 p.m. from the 14800 block of Adams Street (northeast of Bolsa Avenue and Beach Boulevard), firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority felt heat coming from an exterior wall.
They quickly opened it up and found heavily charred wood throughout the wall.
Firefighters checked for extension of the fire into the wall and roof while they evacuated the residents. There were no injuries and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
