Wounded man hospitalized

A 51-YEAR-OLD Garden Grove man has been shot in the leg (Shutterstock).

A man has been hospitalized after being shot Tuesday night in Garden Grove.

According to Sgt. Erick Leyva of the GGPD, the incident was reported around 7 p.m. at 12971 Chapman Ave. (west of Harbor Boulevard).

Arriving officers found a man, a 51-year old Garden Grove resident, suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He had been involved in an “altercation” with the suspect before being shot.

There’s no suspect information at this time.

The wounded man was transported to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he was listed in stable condition and is expected to survive.
