Despite the rain Sunday morning, Stanton residents gathered together for the fourth annual Mid-Autumn Festival at Stanton Central Park.
The Vietnamese festival featured various performances, including kids from DeMille Elementary School in Midway City and dancers from La Quinta High School in Westminster.
Although the rain pushed the Lion Dance performance back by an hour, the crowd did not seem to mind.
The Vietnamese Student Association performed twice at the festival while kids and parents danced and interacted with the dancers. Tam Nguyen, the president of the student club, said the goal of the club is to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture in the community.
The event, hosted by State Sen. Josh Newman (D-Fullerton) went from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
