Los Amigos High stayed in the race for the Garden Grove League football championship with a 46-14 win over Bolsa Grande High on Thursday night.

The Matadors held a 14-7 lead early but that was as good as it got as the Lobos scored the next 39 points. LA is now 5-4 overall and 3-1 in league, while BG is 5-4 and 2-2.

La Quinta (6-2 and 3-0) can clinch no worse than a tie for the GGL title with a win Friday over Rancho Alamitos (5-3, 2-1).

Western (8-1, 4-0) locked up at least a tie for the Orange League crown by beating Century 55-0. The Pioneers will face rival Anaheim (5-4, 3-1) next week. The Colonists (5-4, 3-1) remain in second place and could force a co-championship by upsetting Western.

Results of the Magnolia-Santa Ana Valley game were not available at our deadline.
