Four persons – three of them women – have been arrested in connection with a series of residential burglaries in Garden Grove and neighboring cities.
According to Detective Sgt. Willie Holloway of the GGPD, those arrested are:
- Catalina Ciucur, 41, of Anaheim
- Ino Florea (male) 57, of Anaheim
- Caludia Margel, 49, residence unknown
- Nicolae Elena, 45, of Anaheim.
On Wednesday GGPD officers received a report of a residential burglary in process in the 13000 block of Greentree Ave. (northeast of Lampson Avenue and Haster Street). The homeowner said that surveillance video had identified two female suspects.
Arriving officers spotted a silver SUV, driven by Florea, moving “suspiciously” as it left the vicinity. The other people in the car were identified as Ciucur, Margel and Elena.
Police determined that they were the people whose images were captured in the security footage and they were arrested.
Upon further investigation detectives linked the four to at least four other burglaries in Garden Grove and several others in area cities. They are being held in Orange County Jail in Santa Ana facing multiple charges of residential burglary.
