It’s that time of the year, the “second season” for local prep gridiron teams . Ten West Orange County area high school football teams will enter the CIF-SS playoffs this week. All games are scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m.

In Division 2 Edison (6-4) will visit Rancho Cucamonga (9-1)

Division 5 play will see Orange League champion Western (9-1) travel to play Colony (7-3).

Huntington Beach (4-6) will host Glendora (6-4) in Division 6 play.

Two locals are are Division 9. They are Orange (6-4) at Diamond Bar (3-6) and Marina (6-4) at Vista Del Lago (7-3). The Panthers won the Orange Coast title and Marina took the Big-4 crown.

Westminster (7-3) will visit  Schurr (9-1) in Division 11 play.

Los Amigos (6-4), a co-champion of the Garden Grove League, is at San Gabriel (6-4) in Division 13 play.

In Division 14, GGL co-champ Rancho Alamitos (7-3) is at Santa Rosa Academy (6-4), while Bolsa Grande (6-4) is at Ocean View (5-5).
