Two-story bldg. for Santiago?

An agreement to advance the construction of a two-story modular building project for Santiago High School goes before the Garden Grove Unified School District Board of Education when it meets on Tuesday.

The board will consider the guaranteed cost with Neff Construction for the building at a total cost of $16,766,191.23 for the project for the school located at 12342 Trask Ave. in Garden Grove.

A two-story modular classroom building was constructed at Garden Grove High School recently and was opened for use in August.

Also on the agenda are presentations by Assistant Superintendent for Personnel  Services Jason Bevacqua of Classified and Certification Employees of the Month and Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Education Lisa Swartz and Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education Stephanie Heflin for “Academic Pentathlon Schools.”

Public comments prior to closed session are at 5 p.m. with the closed session (conference with labor negotiators) at 5:05 p.m. The regular board meeting is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the board room in the Education Building at 10331 Stanford Ave.

The GGUSD is a K-12 district serving most of Garden Grove as well as parts of Anaheim, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Santa Ana, Stanton and Westminster.
