Man held for assault, robbery

A MAN has been arrested for robbery and assault that occurred in Stanton (Shutterstock).

A 44-year-old Paramount man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Stanton massage business of $2000 and sexual assault.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Thomas Avery Hillman, Jr.  has also been booked on charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment and oral copulation with force or violence.

On Wednesday at 3:44 p.m. sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 12000 block of Beach Boulevard (near Chapman Avenue) regarding a robbery involving a handgun. An investigation revealed that the suspect had allegedly stolen $2000 in cash, forced the victims into a private room and held them at gunpoint, forcing them to orally copulate him.

Hillman surrendered at his home while deputies were serving a search warrant. A weapon was found.

During the search, deputies found he may be responsible for other offenses related to massage parlors.
