FIREFIGHTERS battling early morning fire in Garden Grove (OCFA photo).
An early morning fire Wednesday in Garden Grove led to the evacuation of four people from a multifamily building.
Orange County Fire Authority units responded to a report of a fire in the 11000 block of Cobblestone Lane (southwest of Euclid Street and Westminster Avenue) at 5:22 a.m.
Truck Company 81 found heavy smoke coming from a garage that was threatening adjacent units. Firefighters attacked the blaze and searched for residents. They brought out four adults, but four pet cats perished.
The fire was prevented from spreading to the neighboring homes. The cause of the blaze was not immediately determined. Garden Grove police provided assistance.

The family got out ok with some of them suffering burns from the fire. They lost they’re beloved cat novack. He died from smoke from the fire. The condo was a total loss and the family lost everything they owned. It was sad, but eternally grateful raul and his mother Ellen made it out alive. They were the only ones home at that time. If anyone cares to help the family with donations we will be putting up a go fund me for the dehesa family.
thank you, Shawn. do you know if a GoFundMe was ever made and if so, where I can find it?
