PAINTING activities are part of the “Art in the Park” on Saturday at Garden Grove’s Village Green (City of Garden Grove photo).
Nature has been compared to art, and art to nature.
The two will come together on Saturday when the 6th Annual Art in the Park comes to the Village Green in downtown Garden Grove.
The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park at Main and Euclid streets. The outdoor, interactive festival will feature “Paint and Sip,” a painting experience with non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages led by local artist Melissa Murphy.
Other activities will include ukulele lessons, a LEGO creation station and the Art Car, an opportunity to paint on a classic automobile.
There will also be live musical performances from local schools and temporary art outdoor installations in the park and the annual First Impressions Student Art Exhibit in the Courtyard Center, showcasing the works of pupils from the Garden Grove Unified School District.
