ELEVEN area high school softball teams will be in the CIF-SS playoffs starting next week (Flickr).

Pairings and brackets for the CIF-SS softball playoffs were released today (Saturday) and 11 local West Orange County teams are included.

The only area team seeded is Pacifica, which is second in Division 1, behind Lutheran High of Orange.

Here are the pairings for teams at schools that serve the communities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster.

Generally, wild card games will be played on Tuesday, April 30 and first round games on Thursday, May 2 but matchups, locations and times are subject to change without notice, so check with the schools.

Division 1

Wild Card A: Marina (17-9-1) at Capistrano Valley (20-5). Winner will play Lutheran of Orange (18-3).

Wild Card B: Roosevelt (13-9) at Huntington Beach (16-7). Winner will play Riverside Poly (24-2-1).

First Round:

Pacifica (21-2) hosts winner of Wild Card G game between Murrieta of Vista and South Hills.

Division 5

Wild Card B: Santa Clara (9-10) at Ocean View (12-11). Winner will play Providence of Burbank.

First Round:

Barstow (14-10) at Garden Grove (15-9).

Division 6

Wild Card H: La Quinta (10-11) at Pioneer (12-6-1). Winner will play Eisenhower (14-3-2).

First Round: Wild Card E (Southlands Christian at Rio Hondo Prep) at Santiago (13-6).

Division 7

First round: St. Genevieve (8-5) at Los Amigos (13-6); Western (10-9) at Lennox Academy (12-3); Orangewood Academy (12-5) at Academy for Academic Excellence (16-2-2).

Division 8

First Round: Orange (9-9) at Mesa Grande (8-5).
