A mutual aid pact was signed on Wednesday between Russia and North Korea pledging help if they face “aggression.”
Russia’s Vladimir Putin signed the agreement with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.
There’s not much detail about what the deal entails except that it reportedly is a “major upgrade” of the degree of cooperation between the two nations on defense, trade, economics and other areas.
In visiting the North Korean capital, the Russian president was greeted by crowds shouting “Welcome Putin.”
After that, Putin went to Hanoi to meet with leaders of Vietnam.
Ten Commandments in La. classrooms?
Gov. Jeff Landry of Louisiana signed into law Wednesday a bill requiring that a large display of The Ten Commandments by made in every public school classroom, including state universities.
Under the new case, the posters must be up by the start of 2025.
Civil rights groups and others dedicated to separation of church and state immediately promised to take legal action against the requirement.
Other states such as Texas and Utah have attempted a similar program, but have been prevented by federal court rulings.
