Murder suspect is arrested

WESTMINSTER police have made an arrest in connection with the murder on Bolsa Avenue on Saturday morning (Shutterstock).

UPDATE: A male suspect was arrested in connection with the homicide reported Saturday morning. Westminster police have taken into custody Hoa Le, 48, for the death of another man. The motive for the attack is “unclear at this time,” say police.

An investigation is underway into the death of a man in Westminster early Saturday morning.

According to Commander Andy Stowers of the WPD, officers were dispatched to the 9200 block of Bolsa Avenue  (east of Magnolia Street) at about 5:45 am. regarding a report of a man down and bleeding from the head.

Upon arrival – along with members of the Orange County Fire Authority –   officers found the man with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A suspect in the incident was described as a male, about 35 to 45 years old, 5-foot, 8-inches to 5-foot, 10-inches tall with medium build.

Details about the victim are being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

WPD detectives and crime scene investigators are pursuing leads. It’s believed the suspect fled on foot. Anyone with information about the incident or suspect is asked to call Detective Tran at (714) 548-3810 or the WPD Watch Commander at (714) 548-3767.
