Just as Stanton is getting a new look on the street with new retail business and high-rise residential construction on Beach Boulevard,

the City of Stanton is seeking to update its image with a new logo, branding and messaging.

On Tuesday night the city council voted 4-0 – with Councilmember Donald Torres absent – in favor of accepting final design elements for the city’s image, including also a city seal, “tagline,” style guide, way finding signs and a strategic communications plan from the consultant, HUB.

The new city tagline – or marketing slogan – will be “Pride. Purpose. Progress.” The brand symbol will be a sunburst that resembles a sunflower. The new city seal incorporates an image of a railroad track and the sunburst.

Also Tuesday night, the council approved:

  • an amendment to an agreement with Garden Grove to contribute an additional $50,000 for the joint rehabilitation of Fern Street between Garden Grove Boulevard and Stanford Street;
  • the “carryover” of $3,741,670 in unspent money from the 2023-24 budget to the current budget.
