Former president and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was the apparent target of another assignation attempt on Sunday, according to the FBI.

Secret Service agents opened fire on a man hiding in the shrubbery at Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was pointing an AK-style rifle with a scope as Trump was about 400 to 500 yards away, reports the Associated Press.

Arrested was Ryan Wesley Routh; the suspect had fled the site in an SUV and was apprehended in a neighboring county.

No motive has been established.
