A variety of housekeeping actions will greet the Stanton City Council when it convenes on Tuesday evening.
There will be a special closed session at 5:30 p.m. and a joint regular session at 6:30 p.m.
Items on the agenda for the regular session will include:
- acceptance of the demolition of a nuisance building, a vacant fourplex located at 8930 Pacific Avenue, leveled and debris removed at a cost of $96,000;
- approval of a five-year license agreement with Southern California Edison for the renewed lease of three parcels used as Hollenbeck Park for a sum of $15,438.43;
- final approval of the finalized design elements for the city’s branding and messaging project, including a logo system, city motto, communications plan and wayfinding sign guidelines;
- appropriation of $250,000 for the repair of the Stanton Park westerly bridge, which has been damaged and unusuable since June 2023. The park is located behind the Civic Center southeast of Katella Avenue and Beach Boulevard. The bridge crosses a flood control channel.
